2024 Nissan Rogue

The well-rounded Nissan Rogue balances comfort, efficiency, and style, with plenty of the latest technology for safety and connectivity. It’s back for 2024 with a vibrant exterior refresh led by updated front and rear fascia, a stylish new V-motion grille design, satin-finished exterior badging, and cutting-edge taillights. The biggest tech update is the availability of Google Assistant, which allows users to text with friends, make phone calls, or navigate to the next destination. The Rogue’s design also offers customizable storage space (up to 74.1 cubic feet with the second row folded flat) and an efficient turbocharged engine.

Trims and Powertrains

S, SV, SL, and Platinum are the four Rogue trim levels for 2024; all are available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Their power comes from a 1.5-liter VC-Turbo three-cylinder engine that puts out 201 horsepower and 225 lb.-ft. of torque and is matched with Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT).

With front-wheel drive, most Rogue trims return an EPA-estimated 30 mpg around town and 37 mpg on the highway. The exception is the Platinum, which achieves 29 city/36 highway. All-wheel drive changes the estimates to 28 city/35 highway (34 mpg Platinum).

Standard Features

The S trim gets remote keyless entry, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, cloth upholstery, push-button ignition, power-adjustable outside mirrors, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, two front-row USB-C ports, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 60/40 split-fold and reclining rear seat with access to the cargo area. The SV adds remote start, proximity keyless entry, premium cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver's seat, a pair of second-row USB charge ports, heated power side-view mirrors, a power liftgate, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The SV Premium Package is available for those who want to add heated front seats, a power panoramic moonroof, Prima-Tex upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, sunshades for the rear doors, another USB port in the second row, and roof rails. The SL gets most of the features from that package, plus leather upholstery, a four-way power front passenger seat, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a motion-activated power liftgate, a cargo management system, integrated LED turn indicators for the heated power side mirrors, a wireless charging pad, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Buyers can opt for the SL Premium Package to get tri-zone automatic climate control, a motion-activated liftgate, driver’s position memory, a power panoramic moonroof, reverse tilt-down side mirrors (heated and power-adjustable), and rear-door sunshades.

At the top of the lineup, the Rogue Platinum has most of the features of an SL with the Premium Package minus tri-zone climate control, the motion-activated liftgate, and the rear sunshades. It’s otherwise loaded with a chestnut brown quilted semi-aniline leather interior, remote-folding rear seats, and cabin accent lighting, gloss-black fenders, and unique 19-inch wheels. The optional Platinum Premium Package will add the motion-activated liftgate, rear door sunshades, and tri-zone climate control, plus a head-up display and heated second-row seats.

Advanced Driver Aids

Nissan adds Safety Shield 360 to every Rogue with automatic emergency braking with automatic braking, a driver alertness monitor, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, high beam assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and a blind spot monitor. The SV gets lane intervention and ProPILOT Assist (semi-autonomous driving with adaptive cruise control), while the SL and Platinum upgrade to ProPILOT Assist with Navi-Link, which uses data from the map locater system to adjust speed ahead of upcoming road features such as curves. Nissan’s Around View Monitor comes standard on the SL and Platinum along with front parking sensors and traffic sign recognition.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Rogue S and SV have an 8-inch NissanConnect touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, and SiriusXM satellite radio; the S has four speakers and the SV gets six. The SL and Platinum move up to a 12-3-inch HD touchscreen based on Google built-in with wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. The SL receives the same sound system as the lower trims, with six speakers, but the Platinum is loaded with a ten-speaker Bose unit.
