2025 Nissan ARIYA

The 2025 ARIYA holds its own in as an upscale member of the compact electric crossover class. With a range of up to 289 miles and Nissan’s optional e-4ORCE all-wheel drive, it does a nice job of meeting the needs and desires of today’s EV buyer. It looks great, too, with a distinctive design that Nissan refers to as “Timeless Japanese Futurism.” The ARIYA spoils its occupants with wireless smartphone charging, heated front and rear outboard seats, and a heated steering wheel on all trims, plus available Nappa leather and ventilated front seats. Those who appreciate torque will enjoy this EV’s ability to hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 4.8 seconds. It offers a good amount of room for your stuff as well, with 22.8 cubic feet of space in the cargo area and a potential for 59.7 cubic feet with the middle seat folded down. Front-wheel drive versions come with Nissan’s helpful Divide-N-Hide cargo system.

Trims and Powertrains

The ARIYA’s revised 2025 lineup contains trim packages labeled Engage, Evolve, and Platinum+. The plus-sign suffix denotes the larger available battery, which is 87 kWh, as opposed to the standard 63 kWh. The e4ORCE AWD system is standard on the Platinum+, which has an electric motor on each axle. The Engage and Evolve get a 63 kWh battery and front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) by default, but they’re both eligible for the + upgrade to the larger battery. The Engage+ is made in a configuration of an 87 kWh battery and AWD, while the Evolve+ gets the 87 kWh battery but can be configured with either FWD or AWD.

With FWD, the Engage puts out 214 horsepower and offers 216 miles of range; AWD boosts its horsepower to 335 but takes the range down just a bit to 205 miles. The AWD-only Engage+ will give you 389 horsepower and a range of 272 miles. The top range of 289 miles comes from the FWD Evolve+, which makes 238 horsepower. The horsepower leaders are the AWD Evolve+ (range: 272 miles) and Platinum+ (range: 267 miles).

Standard Features

The level of amenities in the base trim, the Engage, shows what a plush vehicle the ARIYA truly is. This entry-level version provides proximity keyless entry, heated front and rear outboard seats, a heated steering wheel, simulated leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver's seat, a driver's memory system, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch driver information display, two zones of automatic climate control, heated power-adjustable and power-folding exterior mirrors, automatic-on/off headlights (LED), wireless device charging, four USB ports, a power-sliding center console, and aero-style 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

The Evolve adds a power liftgate, a power-adjustable (eight ways) front passenger seat, a panoramic moonroof, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The Platinum+ moves into luxury territory with a hands-free power tailgate, Nappa leather upholstery, and heated and ventilated front seats, as well as LED fog lights, a power-adjustable tilt/telescopic steering column, reverse tilt-down and integrated LED turn indicators for the exterior mirrors, and upgraded interior lighting.

This advanced technology suite consists of adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, a driver alertness monitor, ProPILOT Assist semi-autonomous driving support, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane intervention, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, and parking sensors (front and rear).

The Evolve and Platinum+ add the proprietary Intelligent Around-View Monitor and a digital rearview mirror. A deluxe edition of ProPILOT Assist and semi-autonomous parking technology are found on the Platinum+.

Infotainment and Connectivity

ARIYA occupants will call on a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system to handle their multimedia needs. It brings together wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, voice recognition, and a virtual assistant called Hello Nissan. Access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and NissanConnect Services comes standard as well. For audio, the Engage and Evolve get a sound array with six speakers, while the Platinum+ is treated to a premium Bose setup with ten speakers.
