As the 2025 Nissan Kicks kicks off a new generation, it’s showing off with more capability than ever, as well as the first time that Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is made available on this model. Add that to a segment-leading 8.4 inches of ground clearance, and the Kicks now leans further toward capable and rugged.
In the cabin, Nissan has optimized the space with more shoulder room (1.7 inches front, 1.5 inches rear) and 0.9 inches more rear knee room. They also put Zero Gravity seats in both rows (it was previously only available for the front row), with an improved design that’s more ergonomic to better stave off driver fatigue on long drives. Topping it off is the flexible and spacious cargo area, measuring up to 60 cubic feet with the back seats folded flat. Plus, the tailgate opens to a class-best 40.3 inches, meaning that getting a golf bag or stroller loaded won’t be an issue. Some extra aesthetic thought was put into the design, adding to the Kicks’ appeal. Look for a broader stance, stronger fenders, a refined roof spoiler, and full-width LED taillights.

Trims and Powertrains
You’ll have a choice of three trim packages for the Kicks—S, SV, and SR—all featuring a 141-horsepower 2.0-liter inline-four engine, a 20 hp boost over the previous edition. This engine pairs with the latest-generation Xtronic CVT, and you can choose between front-wheel drive or now-available all-wheel drive. A drive-style selector with Normal, Sport, and Eco settings is standard, and all-wheel drive versions also include a “Snow” mode.
Advanced Safety Features
Every 2025 Kicks comes with the Safety Shield 360 suite of driver-assist technologies, including intelligent emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beams, a rearview monitor, predictive forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors. The SR trim also includes the intelligent Around-View Monitor, emergency lane keep assist, front parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, lane departure prevention, intersection assist, and ProPILOT Assist technology with steering assistance.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The S trim features a 7-inch touchscreen, a four-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth. The SV and SR trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch infotainment display, SiriusXM satellite radio, and wireless smartphone connectivity (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). The SR trim adds Siri Eyes Free technology and a six-speaker sound system, with an option to upgrade to a top-quality Bose unit with ten speakers.
