Trims, Performance, and Range

The 2025 LEAF comes with trim packages called S and SV Plus. Both have an AC synchronous motor, a direct drive transmission, and front-wheel drive (FWD) with a limited-slip differential. Their performance metrics are determined by their respective powertrains. The S is equipped with a 147 hp (236 lb.-ft. of torque) motor and a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery that enable 149 miles of all-electric driving; the EPA estimates this powertrain’s fuel economy at 123 MPGe city and 99 MPGe highway. The SV Plus earns its name with a stronger powertrain, made up of a 214-hp (250 lb.-ft. of torque) motor and a 60-kWh lithium-ion battery that bring the range up to 212 miles. Its EPA-estimated fuel economy is 121 MPGe city/98 MPGe highway.

Charging

Each trim comes standard with a 6.6 kW onboard charger and portable charging cable. The S will return to full power in approximately 35 hours using a 120-volt outlet or 8 hours using a 240-volt source. With a 50-kW DC fast charger, 80 percent battery capacity is reached in roughly 39.6 minutes. The SV Plus will fully recharge in about 11 hours when it’s plugged in to a 240-volt power outlet, while 50-kW DC fast charging will get it to 80 percent in about 45 minutes.

Standard and Available Features

Both ‘25 LEAF trims get remote keyless entry, push-button start, cloth upholstery, a cabin air filter, Intelligent headlights with auto on/off (halogen for the S and LED for the SV Plus), LED taillights, a 7-inch multi-function information display, four USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, cargo area tie-downs, power side-view mirrors, an integrated rear spoiler, and an illuminated grille badge. Their infotainment array has an 8-inch LCD touchscreen, Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity and streaming audio, Android Auto compatibility, Apple CarPlay integration, Siri Eyes Free voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, an auxiliary audio input, and a sound system (the S gets four speakers and the SV Plus gets six).

The SV Plus also gets heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. On the infotainment site, it adds NissanConnect EV with navigation and voice activation, an Internet connection, over-the-air updates, and SiriusXM Traffic (3-month trial). This trim’s exterior upgrades include heated power side mirrors, a front bumper chin spoiler, halogen fog lights, and LED headlights, front exterior accent lights, and daytime running lights.

The S sits on 16-inch steel wheels and is eligible for these exterior colors: Brilliant Silver Metallic, Deep Blue Pearl, Glacier White, Gun Metallic, and Super Black. The SV Plus gets 17-inch machined aluminum wheels with painted accents, and its buyers can choose from seven paint choices: Brilliant Silver Metallic, Deep Blue Pearl, Gun Metallic, Scarlet Ember TintCoat, Super Black, Pearl White TriCoat, and a two-tone (black and white) combination.

Driver-Assist Tech

Both ‘25 LEAF trims are outfitted with the latest Nissan Safety Shield 360 features: forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, rear automatic emergency braking, and high beam assist. The SV Plus sets itself apart from the S with the addition of adaptive cruise control, the Intelligent Around View Monitor, driver attention alert, and ProPILOT Assist, a proprietary technology that adds semi-autonomous driving to the cruise control and lane centering features.
