The 2025 model year marks an exciting evolution for the long-popular Murano, which Nissan has redesigned with fresh looks and cutting-edge technology that reinforce its reputation for style, practicality, and value. Since its debut in 2003, the Murano has earned accolades for its premium aesthetic, comprehensive equipment, and everyday versatility, all at an accessible price point. As it enters its fourth generation, it takes each of these well-established qualities to new heights, offering a more refined driving experience that redefines its all-encompassing appeal. Sophisticated Design
When the redesigned 2025 Murano arrives, it will command attention with a new look defined by a wider stance, pronounced fender flares, and an overall increase in confidence. Nissan's latest design language is evident, starting with "Crystal Cube" LED headlights flanked by gloss-black accents and the signature V-motion grille, illuminated by the LED daytime running lights “hidden” inside the grille. The elegantly minimalist aesthetic continues to the rear, where hidden exhaust tips, a relocated license plate holder, and a streamlined liftgate emphasize this Murano’s cleaner approach to design. The LED taillights span the width of the rear, completing the updated appearance with their distinctive effect.
Interior Refinement
When you step inside the 2025 Murano, you’ll be greeted by a cabin that embodies luxury and sophistication. The clean, crisp layout promotes a serene atmosphere, with soft-touch materials and refined details throughout. Inspired by the Nissan Ariya, a capacitive-touch climate control panel and a stunning dual 12.3-inch digital display positioned atop the sleek front console form the basis of the new Murano’s interior. One of the most standout elements of this redesign is the Murano Glass dashboard finisher, which incorporates color-shifting graphics and textures that interact with light to add visual intrigue. Plus, buyers can choose from three interior color schemes inspired by the warm hues of sunset. Some of the other prominent features will include quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, a panoramic moonroof, massaging heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and customizable 64-color ambient lighting. Not only that, but the new flat-bottomed steering wheel design will make entering and exiting the vehicle easier and more comfortable.
Advanced Safety Features
Safety will take center stage in the 2025 Murano, thanks to the updated Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. For the first time, the Murano will have a 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, which expands the bird’s-eye perspective to include eight virtual viewpoints for a prime view of the vehicle’s surroundings. The Invisible Hood feature will be available as well to provide a virtual view beneath the Murano to help spot obscured obstacles. Aside from this advanced safety tech, Nissan has added a new passenger knee airbag while also repositioning the exterior mirrors from the A-pillars to the outer doors to give the driver a clearer view ahead.
Cutting-Edge Technology
The 2025 Murano will show off a brand-new Google built-in infotainment system, to be standard kit in the SL and Platinum. Beyond that, all trims will receive standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A wireless phone charge pad will be included as well, along with Active Sound Cancellation for a more serene driving experience and four USB-C ports (two in each row). Audiophiles are sure to appreciate the premium 10-speaker Bose audio system, which will be available on select trims to transform the Murano’s cabin into a personalized concert hall with rich and immersive sound.
