The Pathfinder reinforces its position in Nissan's lineup for 2025, adding value through a new
complimentary standard maintenance program that covers scheduled oil changes for the first two years
or 24,000 miles. At the same time, this three-row SUV continues to offer a blend of everyday
practicality and outdoor capability, with configurations that seat up to eight passengers and offer
notable towing prowess.
The family-focused design also emphasizes convenience, thanks to
innovative second-row seating that accommodates child seats and the newly standard power liftgate on
mid-tier grades. Meanwhile, the Pathfinder’s modern yet muscular design helps it stand out in a sea
of competitors that look similar to each other.
Trims and Powertrains
The 2025 Pathfinder lineup offers five trims: S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum. A 3.5-liter V6 engine
powers all editions, producing 284 horsepower in most configurations and 295 horsepower in the Rock
Creek with the use of premium fuel. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard on the S, SV, SL, and Platinum,
while four-wheel drive (4WD) is optional on these trims and standard with the Rock Creek. A nine-speed
automatic transmission manages power delivery for both drivetrains. Towing capacity ranges from 3,500
pounds to 6,000 pounds, depending on the trim and drivetrain.
FWD Pathfinders achieve EPA fuel economy ratings of 20 mpg in city driving and 27 mpg on the highway.
The S and SV with 4WD return 21 mpg in town (and the same 27 mpg on the open road), while the SL and
Platinum provide 20 mpg city/25 mpg highway. The Rock Creek 4x4 achieves 20 city/23 highway.
Standard Features and Option Packages
The entry-level S is set up for eight-passenger seating with a middle-row bench seat. Its other merits
are tri-zone automatic climate control, fabric upholstery, LED exterior lighting with automatic
headlights, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, rear privacy glass, a 7-inch driver information
display, four USB ports, cruise control, an intermittent rear window wiper, cargo tie-down hooks, an
underfloor storage compartment in the cargo area, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The SV adds remote start, a
ten-way power driver's seat, heated front seats, heated power side mirrors, a power liftgate, a
leather-wrapped steering wheel, and black roof rails. The SV Premium Package brings a panoramic
moonroof, second-row captain's chairs with a removable center console, and a trailer hitch with a wiring
harness.
The Rock Creek maintains SV-level amenities while adding off-road capability through a
tuned suspension, black tubular roof rack, LED fog lights, distinctive exterior elements, second-row
captain's chairs with a removable console, exclusive leatherette upholstery, and 18-inch black-finish
wheels. The SL’s interior is enhanced with leather-trimmed first and second-row seats, a heated steering
wheel, a ten-way power front passenger seat, wireless device charging, an additional USB port, and an
auto-dimming rearview mirror. It also gets an upgraded version of proximity keyless entry. The available
SL Premium Package mirrors the SV Premium Package while adding heated second-row outboard seats, 20-inch
wheels, and additional infotainment components (covered below).
The range-topping Platinum
incorporates most SL Premium Package features plus exclusive amenities like semi-aniline quilted leather
upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a driver memory system, a hands-free liftgate, a head-up
display, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, power-folding
mirrors, stainless-steel front kick plates, an additional USB port, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
A Captain's Chair Package is available for the second row.
Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology
Nissan equips all 2025 Pathfinders with Safety Shield 360, incorporating automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, automatic high beams, and driver alertness monitoring. Rear parking sensors come standard across the range, with front sensors and traffic sign recognition added to the SL and Platinum trims. The SV and above feature ProPILOT Assist semi-autonomous driving capability along with lane and blind-spot intervention. The SL and Platinum get an upgraded version of ProPILOT Assist with navigation support for more responsive capabilities. A surround-view monitor is added to the Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum trims, which include an off-road camera mode for the Rock Creek. All Pathfinder trims are equipped with an array of airbags plus anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist, automatic brake hold, and a rearview camera.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The S, SV, and Rock Creek use an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, while SL and Platinum upgrade to a 9-inch screen. Both systems support Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, dual 12-volt outlets, and a text messaging assistant. A six-speaker audio system comes standard, with a 13-speaker Bose upgrade included in the SL Premium Package and with the Platinum trim. The SV and above have access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and NissanConnect Services. Navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay complement the SL and Platinum's technology suite.
